Attorneys and or their law firms can be sued too.

Yeah, right, like that is gonna happen. If they open up that can of worms their whole basis of being would cease to exist.

No, I think US should scrap half of the lawsystem, namely the one where you sue other people. Just make it impossible to sue anyone. It's a stupid an pointless piece of jurisdiction.

What you do should either be illegal, and then you do not need to sue anybody, or it should be legal, and then you should not risk being sued.

We could always go back to "trial by battle". Each side to a dispute picks a champion and we throw them in a ring together. It's a messy but efficient way of resolving disputes.

Didn't we learn in grade school:

The policeman is our friend, he protects us from the bad guys

The fireman is our friend, he saves our lives from fires

The doctor is our friend, he makes us better when we're sick

The sports stars and movie/TV stars are our friends, they entertain us and take our money

The lawyer is our friend, he does nothing useful and takes our money

Everybody has a function in our society.

Ted Fletcher is a genius. The father of all pre-amps and compressors. A kind chap.

Cheerio and all that rot.

WHY IS THIS FUCKING THREAD STILL IN THE RACK GEAR FORUM????

This is NOT Court fucking TV and this thread became a legal pissing match a LONG time ago.

I have followed this thread with some curiosity but this should have been brought to the cave from the start.

Obviously it is a heated discussion but its no longer about the application and use of rack gear in HOME RECORDING (hint hint) situations.....it mostly never was.

It's about trademarks and lawsuits and shit.

Isnt there any moderator?????

WTF....to the Cave already!!

OK I'm done. I feel mildly better.

I think LAW is a good way. If you do something illegal, you get smacked. If not, nothing happens. Nobody needs to sue anybody. That's how it workes in here in Europe you know.
