I have a Yamaha Motif ES6 (I know, a bit old).

I was just looking around to see what is new and came across the Nord Stage 2, checked out some reviews on YouTube and then checked the price. I was shocked at how expensive these things are.

So, I wanted to ask the pros here what helps them command such a high price over regular synths.

BTW - I'm starting to look at the rack versions of these.

I have a Electro 2 73.Bought mine used.I love it.It's just Hammond organ and some piano sounds. The keyboard is a "waterfall" type-it's real close feel wise to my A-100, and the sounds are as close to my A-100 as I have heard. The 2 Rhodes piano sounds "spit" just like my old Rhodes when you hit the keys hard. The Wurly sound is close too.I had both a Voce micro B2 and a Oberheim OB-3-no comparison. But I hate the buttons that Nord used for the drawbars.Played the new Nord stuff at NAMM in Jan.It's pricy but you can't beat the sound.
