Using Vegas Video, is it possible to filter out music to make the lyrics stand out and less music?

Is it an already mixed song?
If not, you could use some compression on vocals and reduce the level of the other instruments.
If it is, the best you might be able to do is with EQ. Finding the frequency response of the vocals and increaseing the EQ curve at that point.
