Can Sound Forge 5.0 apply effects in a continuum? For example, could I highlight a section of audio and apply a filter that starts off open and is closed by the end of the section? Or am I forced to do it manually by highlighting tiny segments and changing the filter's settings for each segment?

Thanks in advance!

There is a book that might be able to answer that question for you.

It's called 'Sound forge Power', by Scott Garrigus.

Well, it depends on what effects you are using. If you have a DirectX plugin that allows modulation of filter cutoff (for example), then you should be able to do so. Just highlight the section of audio you want, adjust modulation settings in plugin, and you're set.
