This is what I have been using to get my sound into the computer, what is everyone's thoughts on it? So far it has produced good sound for me :)

Looks good to me. My Tascam US-122 is roughly the same configuration - 2 audio in + 2 out - but I need to use external limiting when recording hotter signals. Yours has a built-in limiter.

If it's serving you well, stick with it unless you really need more inputs or outputs. USB 1.1 powered two-channel interfaces seem to drive the computer experts here insane, but mine does everything I want it to do...

Im using the UA-5. It has mostly the same functions at the UA-25. I do love my little box. I haven't had any problems so far!
Yea, Edirol has done a great job... and USB doesnt seem to be as bad as people make it look... probably depends also on the whole system.

What I do is run my sm57 right into it...though should I be putting a compresser or preamp on it before I plug it into the UA-25? Thats for my guitar amp...

For my bass amp I have an 'XLR' out and plug it from the amp straight into the ua-25 as well... What you guys do with it?

UA-25 has built-in preamps. Clamied to be really good. So, you dont need any external preamps for basic recording.
For everyday use I run my guitar to one of them and SM57 to another.

Thanks! :D Im happy to know other's think it is a good product. Didn't want to be wrong on my choice

i use 1 i notice when i record my voice its a lil distorted when i go all out on the mic i have limiter on and it dosnet hit the red on teh PC screen im ACID PRO 4.0 do i need a mixer before the UA-25 preamp would this help.

i have pop filter and all that thats no worries.
