Hey guys, a lot of recording websites make reference to a free piece of software called "Echo Reporter". This tells you how many tracks you can do on your PC at once, I believe. Anyway, all of the links to it are dead and I was wondering if anyone here had it to email it to me? Thanks!

Echo Reporter WILL NOT give you an accurate track count number for your system!!! It once said I could record like 28 tracks and monitor 50something at once, and I was having trouble getting a stereo 24bit .wav file to play without drop outs!!!! It is NOT RELIABLE!!!

I will try to get Slackmaster to post where he found some software that is much more accurate!

Go to prorec.com and go to downloads and do search by name for a program called dskbench. Its more reliable.

Coolness!!! That was exactly the app I was thinking of!

dskbench will give a MUCH more realistic projection of how many tracks you can record/playback at a time.
