Wicked Machine
If anyone is interested I think GC is selling the Echo Mia cards for $99. I know they were doing that in June but not sure about now. That's a damn good card for that price!

How does Echo compare to M-Audio stuff? I picked up an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 from GC for $106 during their 4th of July sale. Haven't put it through its paces yet, but it seemed like a better price than I had seen anywhere so I jumped on it.

The Mia is better than the Audiophile (balanced i/o and better measured and specified sound quality) which is why it normally costs more.

It also works effortlessly with Via chipsets for AMD, which is what I have. That makes me happy :D

Excellent card.

I've had one in my old P2-450Mhz DAW for the last 1.5 years and just moved it over to my new P4-2.5Ghz DAW. Zero problems and great sound. Noisefloor on the S/PDIF inputs is -104db.

Just make sure you go to Echo's website and verify that your motherboard isn't among those with know issues (good practice for any soundcard you're looking at...)

And if you get it, make sure you download the drivers from the website and don't use the old ones in the box (another good practcie no matter what soundcard you purchace....)
