Echos web site states the mia is "compatible with all popular recording products" .

Since for whatever reason the 2496 and MMP-2 are incompatible, I think I may give the miamidi a shot.

I believe someone has had success with the two via S/PDIF...

But before I make another purchase I want to make sure this set-up will be compatible.

Any info/advice is warmly welcomed...

Im only recording vocals right now.

My Pre is the Roland MMP-2:

The problems is that my card and Pre dont seem to be compatible.

Roland didnt have much to say on the issue. Only thing they said that made any sense was it could be a compatibility issue since the Delta 2496 wasnt around at the time of the MMP-2s production.

One of the guys at MAudio said that they had heard of one other case like this with an MMP-2 and an AP card, and they believe there may be some kind of incompatibility between them but arent sure. In any event they have escalated the issue to higher-ups for testing.

But if I dont hear anything soon, Im going to have to get either a new card or Pre. And to me, a new card is the cheaper, more reasonable route. Hence, interest in the MIA and one of the members set-ups on this board running a Mia and MMP-2.

MMP-2 Update...

MAudio has confirmed with there testing department that incompatibility with the MMP-2 is a known issue, it is in there list of bugs to be investigated but they cannot say more than that at the present time.

They said these kinds of incompatibilities in digital equipment have to do with exactly how each device has implemented the SPDIF standard, for those wondering...
