Let's assume I wan to use a P3 notebook PC for portability... How many tracks will Cakewalk Homestudio record at the same time? What would the best entry level 8 channel mixer be that would interface with a laptop? Outside of mics, is there anything else I need to get going? Would the mixer connect to the PC via USB, or should I go another way? Please be patient with my ignorance... Thanks in advance! (PS. Is the TASCAM 245 a god way to go? Behringer? I don't have a lot of $$)
