What is the easiest and cheapest way to transfer recordings/tracks from a Yamaha MD8 to a PC. I had Musicmatch Jukebox. It has been deleted by mistake and I was looking for another way to get it recorded on my PC so I can eventually burn it.

Are you using XP? You can probably get it back by doing a restore back to the date it was deleted... if you wanted to still use it.

I had it on Windows 98. I've since moved the computer to my rehersal room(after getting a new one) to use exclusively with the MD8. I guess while I was deleting other programs it somehow got deleted. When I went to record it told me I needed MMJ Plus. Unfortunately I am no longer on the internet down there.

There are load of free programs out there, I'm certain that someone will give you some good examples.

I can't and won't advise you on them because I don't use a free or cheap program. I am using Sony Vegas (runs about $500-$600).

But I can give you a link someone suggested to me, and I still go there and find cool stuff:

Try oldversion.com.....if you uninstall the current musicmatch you have and install the one you had you should be fine (I've had to do this in the past.)
