Easiest and "Best" way to get drums? (I dont play drums nor have a Kit).

Not sure if this is the right forum, but I have my studio all setup perfect for how I have always wanted it (well on my Tight budget. But I still cant fgure out the best way to get drums in my mix. I am not into actually programming drums, cause for one I dont know how, and for too I HATE programming anything. I am thinking about just using loops, but for some reason that just feels like it is missing somthing.... And again it almost feels like programming, I like playing my instruments.... I guess I am just looking for some easy to use software that doesnt require a midi controller (even tho I might end up getting one) that works well within Cubase sx3, and sounds decent....

Ohhh yeh, just for jamming purposes. Say I find a midi song online, is there a way to take the drum track from that and route that through a VST (or DirectX etc....) drum "machine/module" and have it play correctly?

So you don't have a drumset, you don't want to program anything, and you don't want to use loops???

Yeah, I can't think of any other way to get drums, unless you have someone else record them for you and just give you the drum tracks.

About your question, yeah, you just use a drum VST instrument in Cubase or what-have-you, and create a midi track, and assign the VST instrument to the midi track.

lol, yup dont want to do anything Seriously tho. fir ne U wiykd ratger Learn how to play drums or a least hit somthing with my hands then sit there and program away. What I am thinking about doing (money permitting) if getting somthing like BFD or DHFS and then a program called Jamstix (virtual drummer). I have heard it works pretty well. I see it being like, it will lay down a track, and then I will go in and just edit/program some parts, rather then doing the whole thing....
