Sonar 2: I've been trying to make some loops which will repeat for a number of measures, then change to another loop and back. It works great since I now only need the skill to get a 1 loop perfect and not practically a whole song as I did with my 4 track tape. My problem is the TIME that trying to splice just the correct area to get a seamless loop takes.
Im Talking a guitar part here not a drum part like all the examples are.
There must be an easier way!
WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING.. is set a loop to repeat a rough section of audio and then change the start and stop on the fly so it sounds smooth and seamless. This sounds much easier than it actually is! Then I can copy the exact times as a selection and paste them as a repeating loop. It takes me forever it seems.
Is there a better way? Part2: ALSO does anyone have any tips on using the Groove loop construction tool? Can it be used on a flowing guitar part? sometimes it works and sometimes (50%) I cant get the thing to find correct setting for the splices no matter how many different ways I set the beats per minute , note duration ie: 1/8, 1/16 etc. or trans detect. Am I missing something here, is this feature only good for percussion?
Getting some good tips here from all you gurus will be a great help. Thanks In advance.
