Greetings,

Has anyone ever listened to Dave Moulton's Audio Lecture series? It is advertised in Recording Magazine and covers several topics (e.g. eq, compression, etc) in 3 volumes. I am wondering if these lectures would help reduce the learning curve in making good recordings and mixes.

Any comments on this product?

a newbie,

Dunno, haven't listened to them. But it's called the Playback Platinum Series, presumably culled from Recording's Playback series. So you can pay a total of $120 for Moulton's best, or for $190, have all 19 disks (back issues, also advertised in Recording) of the Playback series.

Okay, I told you, so you have to share. :)

Laura,

I've never checked out the book that you spoke of, but I've listened to an audio CD/book course called the "AudioPro Home Recording Course". It was s 2 CD and book combo. I thought that it was a wonderful resorce that will get you on the right track very quickly. When I used it, I checked it out from the library here at Ohio State.

If you have a major university in your home town, you may even be able to check it out without spending anything.
