I found an E-mu XL-7 Command Station at a pawn shop.It was 350 bux.I was wondering is this the latest newest E-mu command station, if not, what is?In the future I'm planning to have a Motif, Fantom, and Triton and Nord Lead, and am wondering how this would fit in, would this even be necesarry?I'm thinking of buying regardless, since I see the retail price for this is 1000 bux  .(I could re-sell if not satisfied). What would be some good ROMs to put in that would compliment the sounds already in

P.S. I saw in someones setup in a magazine, they had a Korg Trinity, and a Korg Triton , aren't they the same thing, the Triton is just a newer version?

Hi....
I have the Emu Xl-7 (with expansion roms) -Vintage collection rom -Sounds of the ZR -Orchestral sessions vol.2

I like the sounds of the vintage collection rom. It is definitely worth getting. That's really cool. I need to find a pawn shop that has good stuff. When I go they only have crap.

Enjoy it!

I bought the XL-7 Command Station new for 500 bucks. I didn't really like it. The sounds were just too thin for me. If you're going to have a Motif, Fantom, Triton, and Nord Lead, I think you'd be better off spending 350 dollars on another toy. I've had a Fantom, and I currently have a Motif and a Nord Lead 2x, and in my opinion, the sounds on the XL-7 don't fit in. To me, it's just missing something. But that's just an opinion and my ears might be waxy.

i got a XL-7 and love it..i have these: X-Lead, Protoza(Proteus 1,2,3), Composer,
Pure Phatt(Mo Phatt)

im lookin to get these: Beat Garden, Protean Drums(have a proposed swap for X-Lead for this 1), World Expendition

Im tryin to make the best Hip-Hop/R&B/Dance machine(XL-7)...any pointers..
