I've been using an E-MU 1212 PCI card for the longest time.

But now I have a Nueman mike that requires phantom power.

What will be the best way for me to upgrade? Is it possible to just add on the EMU audio dock to what I already have? Is this interface decent enough to not lose the quality from a TLM 103? Thanks for your help and suggestions.

i think a fine mic like that deserves a great preamp/channel strip.... just one opinion.

There are preamps available with Phantom power, one of those should sound real good with the 1212.
The PreSonus Studio Channel Tube Channel Strip, is a good buy at $300, or if your budget allows the dbx 376 Tube Channel Strip, is very nice at around $500.
There are others, so it's a good idea to shop around, but that's the way I'd go.
Good luck.

for a temporary fix, the ART tube mp studio has phantom power, then use it as a D.I when you upgrade
