Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good dynamic mic for female voice for live use? (yes I know this is the homeRECORDING website :p ) She has kind of a breathy smooth choir type voice, not a shrieker or gritty.
I'm thinking like 80-150 dollar range. I already have:
SM-58
Sennheiser e825
lesser Shure mics (PG-x, Axis 1)
They all sound just a little dull.. the Sennheiser is probably the best of them, anyone try the next step up from the 825, the 835? Or am I just spoiled by my LDC's
Thanks,
Mike

The Beyer M88 is a great mic, but you won't get it for $150. Perhaps the M69...

The Electrovoice 367 N/D can be found on eBay from time to time. They aren't made any more, and it's a shame. Very good for female vox (and male too).

I also recommend the Sennheiser MD 431, which can be had for your money on eBay.

Where in the beepbeeptybeep do you go to buy Beyer microphones?

Well, if you want new ones, Full Compass is the only source I know of...
