DXi sampler

I finally installed WinXP and Sonar 2.

Can anyone recommend a DXi sampler? This LiveSynth thing doesn't really seem to do much.

That's one of the few things I like alot about Logic. It comes with the EXS24 which is a great sampler. Where is the DXi equivalent?

I've tried the DDR-008 a bit and it seems more like some kind of drum machine than an actual sampler. Where are the filters? Can it read AKAI samples?

I recently got my hands on a copy of Native Instruments Kontakt which I've heard is supposed to be one of the best samplers out there, but I'm still doubting how it compares to the EXS24.

I haven't spent that much time with either of these DXi samplers so there's a good chance that I'm wrong... but so far I'm not that impressed.
