DW Fearn mic pres

Do any of you (rich SOB's) own one of these units? Obviously, the price point proclaims these to be badass pres, but amidst the Avalon, Great River, and Neve crowd on this board, I have not heard too much about these units. Anything that supports the outrageous price point of these puppys?-Richie

They are amazing. I used to use a VT-1, from time to time. I REALLY want a VT-2.

The DW Fearn mic pres are very good, but not nearly as good as the price indicates.

I find it sounding quite a lot like the Tubetech MP1A dual mic pre. Maybe a little cleaner or more neutral than the MP1A - and this is not always in favor of the Fearn.

I'm an MP-1a fan too. Although but I wouldn't kick a Fearn out of my rack if it showed up one day!
