Hi
About the Rhodes Electric Piano Mark II. Where the H*** does the power go, i cannot find a power plug???

Sorry for the dumb question, hope some of you have this piano at home. I have searched the web for an answer, but since no one has found it strange enough to post on the net, maybe it is really obvious.

Yeah ..... the Rhodes uses pu'ps much like an electric guitar to produce sound. There was a Rjodes with a stand that contained speakers and an amp but the piano itself doesn't require power.

If you are in the market for a rhodes, there a several pre amps specifically designed for them which will bring the levels up to line, otherwise its a fairly quite output

Thanks for the answers. "works kinda like a guitar": i guess i could have somehow figured that out myself, since i had it opened and saw the "guitar-like" pick-ups. I just figured since the jack on the front said Input, that it would have to be some kind of effect/sustain thing.

But thanks. I`ll give it a try with my amplifier.

PS: I really cant stand when people write "dumb question about ... " instead of just "I have this exact problem ... " - are there anyway i can change the title of my thread?

Yeah, it does say input.

Now it's time to look for a phaser pedal for it - really cool. I have an old one I use with big volume and speed dials on either side. I really don't play it much these days after using NI's Elecrik Piano.

Uhm. Now you're confusing me. Should i plug the amplifier in the input jack?
Or is this really for effects... were you being ironic?

Or is there a hidden jack output i just havent found?

/Carsten

PS: Warble2s wikipedia link is the exact same rhodes i have.
PPS: havent tried with amplifier yet, since i don't have the rhodes at home.

Sorry....I just re-read my post and understand how you would have taken it the way you did. ;)

Yes, that is the jack used to plug into an amp - it's the only one on that Rhodes.

I used that phaser pedal, but ran from the Rhodes jack to the pedal input, then used the pedal output to the amp.
