Duh? Simple Subwoofer Question

I won't mix without a sub. You'll probably get a lot of people saying it's not a good thing because you'll hear "extra" bass, but a correctly implemented sub will simply extend the low frequency response, not enhance it. Also, (correctly) implementing a sub into your satellite speakers will increase midrange clarity, and give you more headroom to work with (because you're not asking the smaller speakers to produce lower frequencies it's not very good at).

Thats something I have a hard time with just on my home stereo. I can set my sub to a setting that sounds good to me, but is probably far from being what was intended.
