could this be done with two SEPARATE and DIFFERENT video cards? are conflicts bound to happen if i do this?

best way and its cheap, is a matrox g400 or g450.. 70 bucks man.. i love it.. couldnt live with out it.. (of course i am right now due to space constraints) but its the greatest thing since sliced bread.

shit, i just had a look in my comp while changing fan and i forgot that most mobo's (including mine) only have one slot for video cards!

i don't have the extra money to spend on a new card... so i guess i will have to suffice with one... damn

Ummm...that is not true. Video cards can be PCI cards also. I have a ATI All-in-Wonder 128 AGP running together with a 3DFx Voodoo3 PCI card.

An el-cheapo PCI no frills video card can be bought for $30-50.

The simple answer to that is Yes.

Even though a PC supports only one AGP card, all PCI (and ISA) slots can also host video cards. Though, I'd doubt you'd wanna use an old ISA video card.

You can usually find a decent 2 to 8 meg PCI card in most computer vendors - or - you can probably steal one of that old pentium 133 that collects dust in the garage. :P

You may use up to as many PCI slots you have for video cards.

so, 1 agp video dual out vidcard plus 5 PCI video cards + 7 monitors = a wall of video.

most people have their main vid card (whatever, radeon, geforce3, voodoo5) and another cheapo 4 meg pci card to have dual monitor.

Oh, your OS has to support it as well (as most do anyways these days)

yeah XP pro supports dual monitors... right??

can you buy adapters for AGP to PCI?

XP, 2000, ME, 98 and (I think) support Multiple monitors

No such thing as AGP-2-PCI adaptors, never will be either.

Though, I'm unsure as why any mobo chipset manufacturer hasn't created/developed a dual agp bus board. I'm sure that would sell like crazy.

Oh well
