Man this search just doesn't seem to work at all. Can anyone tell me how to set up my computer for dual HDs or a good link? I searched the web, but everything I found was for win 98 like 10 years ago.

Shouldn't you new hard drive come with a packet about installing a secondary drive? It's pretty simple when I remember back when I did it.

Dual hard drives?
Either one drive as master and one drive as slave on the same controller or both as master on respectively the first and second controller. The OS does the rest.
To switch from master to slave and back: Check the jumper settings on the hard drive.

It really hasn't changed in the last 10 years.
Okay, with Serial-ATA coming up, it's somewhat different but even easier.

All you need to do is use one harddrive as master and other as slave. In the IDE cable one end goes to motherboard, other end to master drive and the middle one slave. Connect this properly and give power supply to both drives......you are almost done.....but wait.....don't forget to set the jumpers (small connector that joins two pins) to master and slave in the respective drive. If you dont know the setting for the drive see the hard drive website or the metal cover for diagram.
