I have a dual boot with W2k and 98, due to lack of 24-bit support for my Delta 44 under W2k. My installation folder under 2K is c:\coolpro and under 98 it's simply c:\coolpro98.

I have just started using this setup last night and got some pretty weird problems, which I won't go into just now.

What I really want to know is, is there any other issues (other than a different installation folder) that I need to think about ?

I didn't have time to look that much into it last night, so I just re-booted under W2K and used that version. Another possible complication is that my W2K installation is up to 1.2a whereas the 98 instalation is 1.2. Where is the cool.ini file stored ? Is the second installation overwriting this file or other files used by the first installation ?

A possible alternative to dual boot is VMWare. This application allows you to run multiple virtual machines simultaneousy with different OSs, or same OSs but for different purposes (i.e. dedicated to audio). It's as easy as toggling between applications with alt+tab. Quite practical.
