Way cool! I gotta say tho, for the most part I would have bee just as happy listening to it with just the main guitar and the first melodic lead that came in.

Really nice accoustic tones, the intro sounded deadly on my stereo.

ok....put the final mix up....thanks again to everyone who commented....tried to get rid of the boominess, cut some of the percussive sound of my git track, brought the "bongos" down, added a fade ending, and I think Dan's tracks are clearer and more articulate now (did a small amount of editing but I kinda like that jammin' vibe so there's still plenty goin' on)...

dafduc: I had the 603 somewhere in the vicinity of the 12th fret but pointed it more towards the top part of the soundboard than the neck itself....the V69 was at the lower part of the guitar below the bridge....that was the basic set up but then I (and the guitar...) moved around until I heard what I liked :D

participant:....about the noisy pre's....those are probably the crickets on Dan's tracks  :D

Thanks. About how many inches away?

Daf

daf:.....probably 8-12 inches....but I'm not really sure 'cause I was listening instead of looking ;) .....sorry it took a while to answer that last one....I'm just kinda SLOW...

No prob - I'm probably a few weeks away from any acoustic guitar recording anyhow.

Since I don't have a 603 or a 67, I'll try this with an MC-012 (hyper), and an MK-319 or SP C-1, see how close I can get. It's a gorgreous sound...

Hey guys.

I dl'd this over a week ago and I'm finally getting around to listening. Sorry...been really busy. This is a great listen. Love the sounds. I think I have the second version based on the dates. I have a folder started for all the challenge collabs. This is no disappointment for the folder. I will dl the final version to keep.

Nice job guys.

Now I need to dl the rest of them :D

Listening to it as I write

Man--cool opening. Great guitar sounds, excellent layering.

Perhaps the percussion could come up just a tiny bit. This is very rich and enjoyable. It just ended :(

Excellent tune.

Jagular:...thanks for checkin' it out and glad you liked it!....I agree that these HRC4 tunes are turning out very well and I'm downloading them and will burn 'em to CD too

sloop: thanks to you too!.....I actually brought the percussion down a bit from where it was originally....also I noticed when I eliminated the "boominess" I sacrificed some of the "ring" in the guitar....I may revisit the tune in the future but for now I'm burnt out on mixing it....gotta step away from it for a while and come back with fresh ears
