Plug in alliance has the VST synth Thorn on sale. If you are a member , they have a special on it ..$39. THORN is a full feature synth that has blown me away. My Roland V Synth died years ago. This uses that graphical touch wave design, and complex arpeggiation. The White noise FX is there. But the Harmonic filter curve that can be drawn , is ultra impressive.
I never purchase VSTs. I only use the unison models from UA. The plugins on the alliance site are all high quality and really liked Brainworx. This Thorn is not Brainworx but super amazing none the less. Id say give this one a try.
I liked Dexed as a Soft synth. Thorn is monster and my new go to synth.

If you check it out as a free trial, you won't be able to put it down. Everything is graphically shown, and the right parameters are drawable in the window.
It has everything one needs pads, leads, bass's. Nice FX too. Closest to the Roland V synth I have found yet because of the draw feature.
