Pinky

and The Brain...
I wanted to try something on the aggressive side, so I pieced together some licks and had Lew over Sunday to lay some leads. Finished the mix tonight. Not the best/worse song we've done, and ranks as one of our more unique/original recordings to date. Definitely worth the 3 minutes ;).

Dry Cleaner

As always, your feedback is welcome and appreciated.

In celebration of our recording we added another day to our Rudy Strooglitz page. Thursday is now host to "Scream at it", the latest in detergent technology. I'm not responsible for what you think. :D

I doubt it's so good no one has constructive criticism to offer  ...

Maybe you're wrong there... but two days is a longtime with no responses. I've been a bit slack in that department :D

Just some things that came to mind while listening.....
- could use some panning on the two main lead guitars
- towards the first half, the repetitive lead guitar overpwoers the soloing lead, it would be nice to get a bit more solo volume there.
- the mix feels a bit over-compressed. Might just be the center crowding doing that though.
- Very well written and played.
- Reminds me of stuff that Allman Brother did/still do or maybe some Beck stuff.
- drums sit nicely, carry the song and liven it up nicely.

Overall - super cool

Great, exactly the type of feedback I hope for. :)

- I was hoping the chorus effects would be enough to pan the first set of leads. I'll try moving them around a bit and see if it helps. I hear the same crowding. ;)

- Might be able to drop the repeating lead a few notches, but was aiming for a harmony effect...

- I use a lot of compression in order to compensate for crappy gear. I'll try to behave more next time. :D

Thanks for the compliments as well. Drums are creatively used canned loops and hits I pieced together. I have no access to a kit, so I make do with what I have (nothing :p).

It's tough for me to provide feedback. 90% of my internet time is at work, and they frown on loud HR.com mixes and I have to hear the phone so I can't wear headphones :(. I usually go out of my way to spend a few evenings replying to mp3 clinic posts after I post a track for review. I figure give a little get a little.

One last bump before I consider this final (none of ido's suggestions have been applied yet).
