Drums ??

I have terrible trouble laying down a drum trck with my keyboard. I am looking at a Yamaha DD55 at the moment and wondered if anyone could tell me if there ok ?

I am not a drummer but can tap out a rythym with my hands ok. I am just looking for somthing a bit better than two fingers on a keyboard.

If you have any other sugestions would glady appreciate it, I use Cubase sx with groove agent.

I'm not quite sure what Yamaha model I own, but it's one of those multi-pad sets and is very close to a toy --- and has served me well for at least five years.

They're solid little units and you need to figure out a way to mount them on a waist-high stand for serious use. I used industrial-strength velcro and that shit is rock solid. But if you're just putting in a few bars and can pull it back when it creeps across the tabletop, you don't even need to bother going to the expense and trouble of mounting it. The one I have has just one midi port - an out - and no way to change the midi channel it transmits on.
