If I have no drums but I wanna record drums on my PC, how can I?
I suppose some kinda looping app but I've tried Fruity Loops and find it difficult.
Is there something better and easier or is there a better method to do drums?

many ways to do drums. some examples. you can use for example powertracks that i use to record midi tracks from a drum brain with pads attached, or midi tracks from a drum module.
or built into the package is a drum pattern creator where you can lay down your own drum tracks. then add all your other audio tracks like
vocals, guitar etc etc. you can try the demo at pgmusic.com.
or you could use real audio samples and build up audio tracks.
once i rented a bunch of diffrent drum machines. recorded their hits into the pc. then created drum audio tracks by copying, and pasting the samples to build up a drum track. or you can buy cd's of drum sounds superbly recorded.
just a few examples.

For drum rec.

I got a Zoom MRT-3B and it works Great. easy to use, program, sounds good, and complex songwriting ability. $100 at Music 123

Yo Chewie:

How'd you get away from Han Solo?

You can get a Boss 770 drum box--it has many patches of all types. Or, you can program your own drum tracks on it; however, it takes time to do programs yourself.

I just kind of groove into a patch and put a song together. Kind of fun.

Green Hornet  :D :D

If you're finding Fruity Loops hard, I'm not sure how you'll figure out these other suggestions... my recomendation is to try and figure out how to use what you already have before dropping more money.

Indeed!

I guess I should try to work with what I got without spending but perhaps I should explain my difficulty. I don't know how to get specific timings in Fruity Loops. It seems to be strictly 4 beats in a bar which are dived to get 8. How could I get more precision than that? For example triplets and dotted beats?

Oh! And anyone familiar with Fruity Loops. Can you tell me how to change tempo on different loops in the same song?

use piano roll mode to do different time signatures.

Really?

How do you that?
But I meant change the actual BPM for lsmall bpm changes.
