Drums In My Shed

I think they sound fine. I would have to put in in context with an actual song to see how it really sounds. I think one of the biggest problems we as home recording guys have with recording drums is that we don't have the variety of snares and toms to choose from to get the sound we're looking for. We work with what we have.

What we have may sound perfect for one style of music, but not work so well with another. You can't take your kit and say "I want to make it sound like so-and-so's drum set." It will always sound like your drum set, which is fine.

I guess that was a long winded way of saying it sounds good, but I don't know what it will sound like with the music you record.

I'm with that guy

bozmillar is right.

They sound fine, but it really depends on the style of music. For instance, if the song is going to be more along the lines of hard rock I think the kick sounds perfect, but if you're going for more pop/rock feel. I think you should roll off the high end a bit to tame the 'click' of the attack.

Then again, once there's bass guitar it may need that click to cut through.

Post the song again when you have more instruments?
