Drummers will hate me for asking this but...

Hey I was wondering what the best and the most affordable drum sample software is out there? Obviously those are typically two mutually exclusive things, but does anybody know of one that is really good for its value? Btw, I wouldn't be using samples if I could cram an acoustic set in my garage, but I can't, so I need to go with plan B... Also, is it easy to export drum files/beats from the software onto protools? I am admittedly a noob, both with home recording and technology in general haha so I need help. Thanks guys.

Hey I drum but I wouldn't call myself a drummer so my level of hate is diluted enough to respond to this. Check out Jamstix by Rayzoon. I remember being pretty impressed by it years ago when I downloaded their demo. It was new then, and I see they just came out with a new version, so I can only assume that it has improved since then.

I believe EZ Drummer is pretty popular and gets good reviews.

BFD Eco is another option (as, I suppose, is the full version - BFD2 - though not exactly "affordable").

both EZD and BFD Eco are great. Pretty sure EZD comes in at less than a hundred bills these days, and I've found the Nashville kit to be better all-round than the standard kit.

I tend to lean on Session Drummer 3, mostly because it comes with Sonar Producer, which is what I use for DAW!

But, I also have NI Battery, which is also quite nice, and has more support for it than Session Drummer 3. Battery is a bit harder to use, though.
