Drum trigger question

Hello.
I was planning on getting triggers and a module for my drums.
So when I use triggers what do I do about the cymbals?
Won't the OH mics pick up the actuall sound of the kit? Im thinkin
this would be a problem with the trigger sound.
Sorry if Im not making any sense:o Thanks.

Personally, if you are going to trigger, I would suggest muffling the drums.

There are 2 ways you can do this:

Foam
Mesh heads.

If you put mesh heads on the drums, you will be essentially making them like a V-drum, so there will be virtually no sound at all.

Here's a link where you can find them.

The kind of triggers that you need to use are either ddrum triggers or Roland - you can not use the kind that you just glue or tape to the drumhead.

Or, if you are handy with electronics or a Do it yourself kind of guy, you could probably build a set for under $10 to $15 per drum that mount INSIDE the drum - so that they will be just like Roland V-drum pads.
