Currently I record into a yamaha 2816. I use a keyboard sequencer for drums
and program it out measure by measure. This is tedious; I'm considering buying a computer based DAW for several reasons, but my assumption is that adding drums maybe much simpler. I envision being able to track instruments to a basic percussion track, and then "drop in" whatever drum sample I choose in a "drag and click" fashion. I'd probably get Digital performer, pro tools le, or cubase. Can someone with experience tell me if this is pretty easy, or is it still tedious? Thanks.
