Drum Track Wanted

This is like ordering fast food:
I'd like a drum track to go ( & a side of fries) with a guitar track I've posted at JustOn. The posts are in .mp3 and in .rm (G2) format. I used a mechanical click track to record it, so there shouldn't be any problem with drum machine users setting their speed at ~94 BPM and having at it. No variation in tempo from front to back. Live drummers are welcome to participate. And it sort of needs a bass track as well. I'm interested in the output somewhat, but this is really more of a vehicle for flushing out any potential problems trading tracks over the net. Those who have this nailed down, here's your chance to get on your soapbox. Since potential collaborators could have a variety of SW for writing/reading .wav/.mp3/.rm etc. files, it would be useful to verify compatibility between specific systems for the purposes at hand.

Hey Dr.Stawl,

Just d/l'd your song at work. Sound good on these little multimedia speakers, should sound better on some real ones. I'll get my drummer to put a drum track down to it tonight. Not sure what type of beat you may have in mind, kind of a funky blues sounding song. What's with the 40S of silence at the end, to make it a longer d/l process for us poor modem users? heh
 
Hey Doc, Emeric is right, the MP3 has 40 sec. of silence. Also I tried D/L ing the rm file but the message was it's not public.

JustOn message about "not public"? Well I got this message myself during the first test download, so I logged back on to check the share status of the file, and it was checked
as "public" so I logged off and tried it again. No problem. I tried it again this morning after reading your complaint and got the same "not public" message! And trying to get that "Publish to Web" command to work is like playing Treeloot- they really make a monkey out of you. The new file sizes are:
2134 KB and 715 KB. Names are the same.

Just figured out what the problem with the real audio file was.

Although, I entered the URL correctly,
try this and you'll see what I mean.
Hold your mouse over the URL- don't click.
Look carefully at the address at the bottom of your browser window (in NS at least), the one that gives you the address of where you'd go if you clicked your left mouse button and compare that with the URL I typed. Same here, but different in my original post.

Well- I got ver. A at freedrive and I'm pleased as punch. That drummer has an ear
for how to work around (read: hide) the spots where I didn't know where I was going while
really meshing where I happened to get a
nice funky tone going. Can't wait for
ver. B. Thanks for your efforts.
192Kbps gave the drums some extra crispiness.

hehe.. no problem Layth, I generally suck at drums. Like any guitarist, I know I can do it better.. :)

Have to go with Layth on this. Mix A meshed with what I was doing, right or wrong and that takes some ear and a willingness to
play stuff that may sound wrong. Personally I don't believe <I'm> up to that task... :)
Takes more chops than I admit to having.
BUT:
Your mix (B) had the drums sounding juicier.
But what was going on right around 0:10
where the mix sounded spliced?
Not talking about that one drum hit at the start seemingly divorced from the rest of the mix. Just your intro.

No idea. Maybe a glitch in the file.
