Drum sequencing software

Could anyone recommend a good piece of software for composing drum sequences? Cheap/free software would be appreciated, but i'm also willing to check out more expensive options. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you need something with built-in sounds, or do you already have samples to work with?

Yes, built-in sounds. I am definately a beginner at this.

I use FL Studio . It's pretty cheap and comes with pretty good samples.

I use Hydrogen. But it's strictly for Linux geeks.

FL Studio. Very easy to use, especially with its pattern mode.

FL studio 4 is quit possiblt the easiest I've used. I make most of my samples for rap and R&B songs with it. Its also good for rock if you play with it a bit.
