I've recently gotten into drum-sampling and I don't know which depth and rate i should be sampling @?16 bit 44.1 khz or 24 bit 48 khz
?
I know 24 bit is what alot of people use to mix @...from what i understand more bits=more headroom, but why would you need all that headroom for a single drum...maybe for a whole mix?
I heard with 44.1 you can have up to 22khz...with 48 you could have 24khz...but cant humans only hear up to 20 khz
?So why do people mixdown to 48khz or even 96khz?
Will I really notice a difference if I sample higher than 16 bit 44.1 khz?
