hey guys i am on a very tight budget 300$ less... i was wondering if i can use this Nady RMX 6 Rackmount 6-Channel Mic/Line Mixer for plugging my mics into and then using this Blue-Icicle-XLR-to-USB-Mic-Converter-Mic-Preamp, to convert the sound from the mixer to my computer... i use Logic Pro 9.

Dang man...you brought Logic but couldn't save up more for recording drums?! I suppose this rig would work (if you get a 1/4"--XLR cable for the mixer out to the Icicle) but you'll have to get the levels and EQ correct in the mixer or else just re-record the whole thing! That'll be pretty tricky though...and they'll all be one one track.

If this isn't a very pressing need, I'd just save up a little cash for a good interface. It'd give you a much better shot at getting a result!

Dude, logic is not that expensive anymore. Logic pro 9 only runs you $200 and can be bought right from the apple app store.

Shoot Final Cut (which used to sport a price of around a grand) is only $300!

You have the Nady unit or this is something you're looking to buy?

$300 just for an interface or do you need the mics and everything?

The Nady doesn't look very promising for something like this.

Yeah I know, but he said he's now on a tight $300ish budget! That cash for Logic would have helped a lot lol.
