Drum overhead with a Studio projects b1??

I know this question is pretty rediculous (hence the newb forum), but i was just wondering. Would I get any sort of worth while results with using a studio projects B1 as a mono drum overhead?

Sure you can.

While I have no hands on with a B1, your results depend on lots of things. Mostly, the drums/ cymbals, the room they're in and most important, the drummer.

Positioning would be the most important thing imo.

Dont just set it wherever and go with that. Make sure you try various positions.

Two OH's would be better but you should be able to do it with one

Yes you can.....but you'll miss being able to put your recorded drum tracks spread over a stereo field.
