Heres a weird one. PLease keep in mind I know nothing of MIDI so if this is a stupid question just tell me.
I have been looking at options for controlling the transport functions of CEP via MIDI so I can start and stop recording without getting out from behind my drum kit. I have an Alesis D4 that I really dont even use anymore so I was thinging...would it be possible to use it as a controller? So basically I hook the MIDI out on the D4 to my soundcard and program CEP so that when I smack a specific trigger it will start or stop the recording and maybe a second trigger for playback?
