Drum Vst's.

I record my acoustic drum kit standard with all the mics and stuff. But for one song I want my kit to sound electric-ish. Is there a vst that I could apply to certain drums that would make them sound more like a digital beat used in hip hop ect.

Not really. You'd handle this in the mix. You can EQ, filter, and compress your way to some really tight, digital-sounding snares, and deep, thuddy kicks.

In my opinion though, if you want a kit to sound electric, just use an electric kit. Programs like Hammerhead and others let you program beats and come with electric kit sounds.

I like to combine electric sounding snares with real, physical kits. Makes for an interesting combination.

Sure there is.

You can use a vst to replace all the hits in your beat with any other samples.
The 'big boys' do it on nearly every record.
