drum mic

i have a 4track, i was wondering if any of you have tried to record drum track using a console before to expand the use of mics and then output the signal to the one track in the portastudio.

Yeah, but I use an 12 channel PA head as a mixer, bring the stereo line outs from the PA into two tracks on the recorder, so the drums are in stereo. But it's the same idea, if you want to mix it all into one track and forget about stereo.
