Im pretty new to home recording, and im wondering what the best drum machine software you guys would recommend, 'cos im planning to do my own recording and i need to use a drum machine.
hammerhead and fruity loops are two soft synth drum machines that export to wav. neither import midi , so you have to use the built in sequencers....cool programs, but the interfaces leave something to be desired...
drum wizard plus is a good inexpensive drum sequencer you can use with a drum machine or your soundcard. it has no sounds, it is just a easy to use, drum midi sequencer.
ok on this one I am totally pro-hammerhead because #1 ITS FREE need I say anymore, however I will, its not as spontaneous or damn I cant figure out the word I want to use, but hey like I said its free, you could load whatever sounds into it that you can find and with so many sites devoted to tracking there is an abundance of drum sounds to load into this machine from heaven!
and if worse comes to worse and you realize that this is not the piece for you, then just uninstall! and find something else!
go here and click on the hammerhead drum station link, its a piece of cake no a piece of "acid" from there! http://hometown.aol.com/GROOVESYN/LEGIONMENU.html
Thanks a lot for your replys. I downloaded hammerhead and it seems really good. I was wondering if there were any guitar recording programs which could be gotten from the net you guys could recommend?
