Can someone tell me how to hook up my DR-5 with protools using midi. Heres what I've done so far:1, I connected my drum machine to my M-audio UNO interface. 2, I configured MIDI devices on my MAC. 3, Now on protools i created a midi track just like its says in the manual, I get a signal coming from my DR-5 which means its working, but but but here is the problem, I can get any sound. Now what am I missing?

connect the audio outs on the back of the DR5 and put them into the audio interface of protools and check you've enabled the track. good luck

My Midi interface has no other connections just Midi in and out, and those are connected to my DR-5. The way I'm getting sound out is thru my MBOX interface, I have recorded drum patterns from DR5 using quater inch in/out thru my Mbox (thers no midi inputs on this interface). Im trying to use it MIDI so it'll be easier to edit.

When you create a New MIDI track check your input and output in protools. It should have found your DR-5. When you click on ins and outs it should give you a bunch of channels to choose from. Sorry to say this but protools really sucks for MIDI. If you're going to be doing MIDI primarily I'd look into getting Digital Performer.
Check in you're Audio/MIDI setup again to make sure your MIDI setup is correct and it is enabled and running.
Oh man I just thought of something could be a simple fix......Are your headphones hooked up to your MBox or in your Dr5? If they are on your Mbox take them off and put them on your dr5.....
Are you getting MIDI data into a recorded track?
