Hi all,,,
Having a long think about getting a drum machine, but am a bit unsure what to go for.
Also intrested in what a drum sample cd has to offer over a drum module ??
I use cubase sx3, and have an m14 interface running thru a soundcraft mixer.
So far,, for drum patterns ,, i have used the drum kits on my yamaha dgx 300 keyboard which are fine for messing around, but not for serious recording.
Now i am getting a bit more serious about my recording and have finished messing around and testing my system i think its time to get something better for my drum sounds.
Dont really have a lot to spend, maybe £75-£100 used, probably off ebay.
I havent got into the cubase plugins or vst,s just yet so i am not sure how to get the best out of a sample cd,, which is why i think a drum module will be easier to manage to start with but as i am ready to start recording more seriously i will need something better than basic.
I really am a bit lost on this subject and would appreciate any advice or recommendations.
I dont want any dance or techno drum sounds, just rock and pop really.
