I hope this is in the right forum forgive me if it's not, anyway
I'm currently using a Yamaha RY30 but I'm thinking of replacing it with something more realistic sounding and I figured some of you drummers could recomend a machine that you've heard that gets close to the real thing.
Seems cymbal sounds are the crux of the machines. I know the RY30 doesn't seem to cut the mustard for me and I'm thinking about the Boss Dr 770....any thoughts or comments? Or any other recomendations?
i had an extremely realistic drum sequencer on the pc, it had my girlfriend fooled, she thought it was live drums (she is very cluey to these thing as i am constantly pointing them out to her), it was in beta format when i had it and the samples could not be saved to wave yet... it had features like random attack and pitch and volumegiving each snare hit a subtle variation... the cymbals were spot on, and whats more it had 3/4 time capabilities...
i deleted the program because of the non existant export .wav function but when i had this program it was still unfinished and the programs author wrote that this function would be available in the next version...
you are going to love this.... i can't remember the name of the program....but i am certain i got it from http://hitsquad.com/smm
it doesn't seem like your after software based, but i thought this may be an option
found it its called digitonix element, doesn't look like theyv'e fixed the .wav problem, but the humanizing features are awesome.....
the wav problem, the long way about it would be to capture the sound coming out of your sound card and recording it externaly...wish i'd thought of that earlier!!
