HELLO I SEEN A THREAD HERE WHERE A GUY MENSION'S A DRUM MACHINE I HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD ONE ! ARE THEY WORTH IT ?DO PEOPLE EVEN USE THEM? WHAT IS SO GOOD OR NOT GOOD ABOUT THEM ?
THANK'S !!!!!

I use a Zoom 123. It has both percussion and bass sounds and rythyms. With a drum machine you can set up a whole persussion session on a recording without actually having a drummer. There are many different ones available. Ones that include bass parts would offer that much more possibility, and now Korg and Roland and Yamaha offer "groove" boxes that take things a step further with even more sounds and possibilities. A Zoom 123 sells for about $170.

I use a BOSS DR-5. A complete rhythm section all in one little box. I think BOSS has done a very good job on the sounds this box produces. I forget exactly how much I paid for it, but I think you can get em on e-bay for a couple hundred bucks.

IF YOU LIKE TYPING IN CAPS SO MUCH (YELLING), WHY DIDN'T YOU USE THEM IN YOUR SUBJECT HEADER LINE?

YOU JUST SOUND TO STOOPID FOR REALITY! WHO HAS NEVER HEARD OF A DRUM MACHINE?

BY THE SOUNDS OF YOUR QUESTIONS YOU ARE A POSER JUST TRYING TO SUCKER PEOPLE IN ON THE STOOPIDITY OF IT ALL...

DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME WITH SUCH IGNORANT CHILDISH ANTICS.

GOTO GOOGLE AND TYPE IN "DRUM MACHINE" AND SEE WHAT YOU GET! BUT BE SURE TO USE THE CAPS OR IT WON'T WORK...

PS, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT, AND NO ONE USES THEM...

The drummer never absent or late...

Due to certain geographical and familial limitations (or familial limiting), I have been forced to rely on my ZOOM 323. Fortunately for me, I used to work 2nd shift, in a kind of "maytag repairman" capacity, which afforded me the opportunity of hours of uninterupted experimentation. Despite this, I still only use less than half of the features available, half of the time, but I use it nonetheless.

Was it truly worth what I payed for it?

Probably not.

Do you have a human drummer at your disposal?

If yes, then use him/her.

Drum Machines are great for when Drummers get out of line. You can show them their replacement!

Thats it!Rise of the KILLER drum machines!

Kramer,

When you say "KILLER", do you mean good or bad, and if you say bad, do you mean the good cool Micheal Jackson bad or Websters dictionary bad. That's assuming Websters hasn't hepped up the meaning of the word, bad.

Anyway KILLER drum machines use cymbals as their most devistating weapon. One crash of the crash cymbal, and Jake falls to his knees!!

YEAH!! Where did the pig go ?????

Ok look if i go look at musician's friend, sam ash, zzsounds
They will just give me mumbo jumbo about what it does.
I personally have never used one and since you guy's have been in it a while (well some) who better to ask and give me a fair feed back other than someone who is trying to sell it to me.
I understand you might get asked question's over and over but hey im new and learning to! Oh and i have looked and informed my self about what they are capable of but again i have not used one.
I already have a idea of what not to go with (ALESIS) so i heard and that's info i got here not bad hugh??

Oh and off the subject (sub) what do you think about
BEHRINGER example mixer??
