Drum colab?

Sounds great Jeff. Are we going to hear this one in a movie soon?
 
I got no drums - I'm all trigger pads and samples, though I was a drummer in another life - but if you like the drumming on the song 'This Drowning Boy' I just posted then I would be happy to give it go?

Did you want full kit track, snare/foot separate to rest or all components on tracks? Processed or not?

I thank you; but I'm really keen on seeing what a real kit can do for my ditties. Considering taking the plunge to reality...and the drum nazi brownshirts are intimidating me into compliance.:spank:

I get it the whole sticks on skins thing - 2 children and living in Hong Kong has denied me such puritanical belief.

Well, shoot... I might have to wait a couple of days to get to this, but I'll hack on it. See what kind of injustice I can do to it.... ;)

You should see a track emerge by Saturday evening.... (Or maybe Monday)

I wanna hear this when it is done! This sounds like it is going to be a very cool tune, I like that big Vox amp sound, has a Brian May feel to it. Nice blend of syles, looking forward to it!
 
Me too. I re-recorded the piano: my rack synth has a white-noise hissing with every note on every sample. So I used my old Kerzweil keyboard's grand piano instead....the rack synth is relegated to fake drums and strings...anything with a decay is ruined. I kept listening to the track, and finally heard it. It clouds everything.
Re-recording the bass and guitars, too. I learned some things from NewGuy's link about miking right.

The thing keeps morphing. :eek:

Nah... All I need is a BPM, which you've given, and the track itself. I do most of my recordings in 44.1 due to space issues, but I can get ya a 24/48 track. I've just got to remember to modify the settings.

This week has suddenly become insanely busy at the studio, so I'm not sure I can get to it as soon as I would to have liked, but I'm lovin' the feel of the music, and will get to it as soon as I am able.
 
I can convert it....and 41 is a quicker file-send.
I have to sord out mechanical issues. No rush! tx
 
I'm still working on this. My life is finally slowing down.. I definitely haven't forgot ya.
