Drum and vocal sound...

This is a song I wrote and this is, I think, the penultimate mix - I can hear a few tweeks I need to make.

I am keen to know what you think of the drums and vocals in particular, but also of the general arrangements and of course the song. My co producer and I spent a lot of time getting the sounds right on the vocals and drums ad I'm interested to see if anyone picks up on it.

I tried to listen but it seems to complicated to get the file. Maybe it's because I'm using the computer at work. I'll try again later.
 
Wow. Very interesting song. The vocals to me are a teeny tiny bit buried...at least when there's just one voice. When the panned vox hit with the male/female combo it sounds pretty right, but I think .5-1dB wouldn't hurt on each vocal. I'd also bring up the snare just a touch. Other than those minor things, it sounds really good! How many tracks is this at right now? My biggest problem is I don't get full mixes because I don't record nearly enough tracks... I'm just curious as to how many tracks made this song.

I'm glad you pointed out those things - they were exactly what I was thinking. The vocals need to be slightly louder.

It's around 100-150 tracks now. I like to layer. It's all submixed now though, so much easier to manage.
