Drum advice needed

I have a Roland VS-840 and i'm doing some solo work on it.

I dont have access to a drum kit and i'm looking at alternative ideas to put drum beats into my songs.

Can anyone recommend something that I can program. I've used a drum editor on Cubase which was ideal, but I don't have the program or the computer to run it.

Please note im on a real tight budget.

At the moment im using drum sounds on a keyboard which is a bit pants.

Based on what you've said, Fruity Loops is what you need.

I guess thats a long term option.

but i dont have a decent enough computer and for FruityLoops wouldn't I need a decent sound card? I don't have one you see.

is there anything else out there?
