I just pulled the trigger on my project studio purchases. After some extensive research I settled on:

I'm still shopping for monitors - I was fairly impressed with the KRK rockit 5's, regardless of price they sounded good.

I'll keep yall posted on the status of my little project studio!

I like my Events PS6 monitors. The 20/20s are reputed to be excellent.

If you have a grand get the 20/20 bas V2's. I'm still blown away by the accuracy compared to my m-audio bx5's. I couldn't get a good mix with the bx5's but the very first mix I did with the Events was impressive by my standards. I didn't think it was a big deal, I thought sound was sound, I was way wrong. I can actually hear a bunch of problems with my currently untreated room that the bx5's and the Bose system in my car couldn't pick up. Accurate monitors are a must.
