Dropout in HS 2.0

I just upgraded to Home Studio 2.0 XL. I have been setting up my drum set for recordning and have a problem with play back. I can record my drum tracks for hours on end, but during playback I have problems with it dropping out. My laptop has 512 megs ram and a AMD 2.2 processor so I do not think it is a hardware issue. I do recoring and playback through my echo layla.

Has anyone else experienced playback dropout in HS 2.0 XL? Are there any playback settings I should be aware that are echo layla specific?

Thanks,

What drivers are you using? ASIO? WDM? Did you tweak buffer settings?

Laptops usually have slower 4200 rpm HD's which cannot keep up with more demanding multitrack recordings.

How do I adjust buffer settings

I am using the WDM drivers. I don't think it is a hard drive issue because I can record as long as I want to without it dropping out. It only drops on playback. Are there some buffer or read settings that I can dink with that effect playback?
